The gleaming nickel-plated receiver is adorned with spectacular engraving mechanically transferred from a hand-cut master plate by artist and engraver Rob Bunting. The right side is highlighted by the image of a majestic bald eagle, accented by distinctive American scrollwork and a banner proclaiming the proud sentiment shared by all Eagle Scouts: Once an Eagle, Always an Eagle. The left side bears the image of the iconic Eagle Scout medal and banners reading Eagle Scout and Scouting America. The engraved images on both sides, along with the winged leaf border, are selectively plated with brilliant 24-karat gold. A tri-colored medallion replicating the Eagle Scout badge is inlaid into the richly grained American walnut stock. The six badges of advancement that mark a Scout’s journey to the Eagle Scout rank along with the phrase Trail to Eagle are inscribed on the right side of the forearm and hand-filled with gleaming gold.
