The EGW Evolved 1911 Sear Spring has been quietly in the works for some time. EGW is known for improving on original designs, one could even say they go through an EVOLUTION. With over 30 years experience in the 1911 market, they have finally come up with their our own fix to combat the typical issues associated with other sear springs. Sometimes 1911 frames can be a bit out of spec. One of the more common issues they have seen is the sear spring slot cut lower than it should be. This can cause the sear spring to not fully engage on the sear. Many springs currently on the market are not long enough to address this issue. EGW went back to the drawing board and made their spring over .030"" longer on the left finger to accommodate frames that encounter this issue. Above Image Details: Detail A - The left side of the spring has a relief cut to allow for the spring to move without contacting or rubbing on the frame. This ensures a smoother, crisper trigger pull. Detail B - The sear pad on the left leaf is less than 1/2 the size and weight than other sear springs, thus reducing the weight for recoil or inertia to act upon. Detail C - The center and right side leaves are 5% narrower to reduce weight and increase feel. Detail D - The disconnector pad on the center leaf is smaller than other sear springs to reduce weight, while still retaining the standard contact. Please Note - they do not glass bead or sandblast the sears after heat treat. The heat treating process leaves the springs with a spotty finish. This is not rust and does not affect performance in any way.

EGW ist dafür bekannt, originale Designs zu verbessern, man könnte sogar sagen, sie durchlaufen eine EVOLUTION. Mit über 30 Jahren Erfahrung im 1911-Markt haben sie endlich ihre eigene Lösung gefunden, um die typischen Probleme anderer Sear Springs anzugehen. Manchmal können 1911 Rahmen ein wenig außerhalb der Spezifikationen sein. Eines der häufigeren Probleme, die sie gesehen haben, ist der Sear Spring Slot, der niedriger als sein sollte geschnitten wird. Dies kann dazu führen, dass die Sear Spring nicht vollständig auf den Sear einwirkt. Viele derzeit auf dem Markt befindliche Federn sind nicht lang genug, um dieses Problem zu adressieren. EGW hat sich zurück ans Zeichenbrett begeben und ihre Feder über 0,030" länger am linken Finger gemacht, um Rahmen zu unterstützen, die dieses Problem aufweisen. Details zum oberen Bild: Detail A - Die linke Seite der Feder hat einen Entlastungsschnitt, um der Feder zu erlauben, sich zu bewegen, ohne den Rahmen zu berühren oder daran zu reiben. Dies gewährleistet einen glatteren, präziseren Abzug. Detail B - Das Sear Pad am linken Blatt ist weniger als halb so groß und schwer wie bei anderen Sear Springs, wodurch das Gewicht für Rückstoß oder Trägheit verringert wird, die darauf einwirken können. Detail C - Die mittleren und rechten Blätter sind um 5% schmaler, um Gewicht zu reduzieren und das Gefühl zu erhöhen. Detail D - Das Disconnector Pad am mittleren Blatt ist kleiner als bei anderen Sear Springs, um Gewicht zu reduzieren, während es den Standardkontakt beibehält. Bitte beachte - sie sandstrahlen oder glasperlenstrahlen die Sear Springs nach der Wärmebehandlung nicht. Der Wärmebehandlungsprozess hinterlässt ein fleckiges Finish auf den Federn. Dies ist kein Rost und beeinträchtigt die Leistung in keiner Weise.
