An American-style scroll pattern surrounds the medal and continues forward past the side loading gate. Adjacent to the medal, a scrolling banner reads Scouting America. The left side of the receiver is adorned with a highly detailed portrait of a majestic bald eagle, also selectively plated in nickel. Intertwined with the scrollwork is a banner bearing the pledge, “To This I Pledge My Sacred Honor,” the closing line recited at every Eagle Court of Honor and a powerful reminder of both achievement earned and responsibility accepted. The genuine American walnut stocks elevate the rifle further, featuring intricately engraved designs hand-painted in full color. On the buttstock, a portrait of a bald eagle’s head appears above one of America’s most enduring symbols: a bald eagle soaring in full flight.
