The Big Boy Steel Side Gate hangs its 20″ or 16.5″ round barrel and checkered walnut furniture on a matte-finished blued steel frame that’s drilled & tapped for optional scope mounts, and uses the same adjustable Western-style sights as the standard Big Boy, with the same sliding transfer bar “safety” system in its hammer. Most of the weight savings is due to the steel frame being lighter than a brass counterpart to begin with, and less steel in the thinner barrel walls than an octagon version. To make sure the steel Big Boy stays easy on the shoulder in any of its three calibers, the .357 Magnum/.38 Special, .44 Magnum/.44 Special, and .45 Colt; we use a black solid rubber recoil pad. For hands-free hiking up or down, it wears sling swivel studs; and we’ve also added a rifle-style fore-end cap instead of the usual carbine-type barrel band. For added versatility, we included a side loading gate and retained the removable tube magazine for easy top-offs, and quick, safe unloading. Herstellerproduktnummer: H012GC 619835200280 Das Big Boy Steel Side Gate präsentiert seinen 20″ oder 16,5″ Rundlauf und die geriffelte Walnussholz-Ausstattung auf einem mattierten, gebläuten Stahlrahmen, der für optionale Zielfernrohrmontagen gebohrt & getappt ist und dieselben verstellbaren Western-Stil Visiere wie das Standard Big Boy verwendet, mit dem gleichen gleitenden Transferstangen-„Sicherheits“-System im Hammer. Die meisten Gewichtseinsparungen sind darauf zurückzuführen, dass der Stahlrahmen von Anfang an leichter als ein Messing-Pendant ist und weniger Stahl in den dünneren Laufwänden als bei einer achteckigen Version verwendet wird. Um sicherzustellen, dass das Stahl Big Boy in jeder seiner drei Kaliber, dem .357 Magnum/.38 Special, .44 Magnum/.44 Special und .45 Colt, schulterfreundlich bleibt, verwenden wir ein schwarzes, festes Gummischulterpolster. Für das freihändige Wandern bergauf oder bergab ist es mit Riemenbügeln ausgestattet; und wir haben auch eine Gewehr-Stil Vorderschaftkappe statt der üblichen Karabiner-Typ Laufband hinzugefügt. Für zusätzliche Vielseitigkeit haben wir ein seitliches Ladeklappe eingebaut und das abnehmbare Röhrenmagazin beibehalten, für einfache Nachladungen und schnelles, sicheres Entladen.
