This is fairly straight forward to install and yields excellent results. There are not many items in the firearms world that yield this much of an improvement for under $50. I have them in all my 10/22 rifles.

This drop in hammer kit is by far the best (and cheapest) upgrade you can do to your 10/22. Install was quick and easy. This kit reduced the trigger pull by at LEAST 50% and removed all trigger creep. My groupings have improved tremendously and my 10/22 is now an absolute tack driver!

My 10/22 came with the hammer with integrated bushings and I saw a couple of reviews that said this kit came with extra bushings. I called Brownell's to verify and they said it did not. I ordered an extra set of stainless bushings and when it all arrived I found out that this kit does indeed come with its own set of steel bushings so there was no need for the extra set that I purchase. Overall quality of the kit is great and the trigger pull is reduced quite noticeably as well as smoothed out quite a bit. Great cheap upgrade if you're looking to gain a little accuracy.

This kit made a huge difference!

These are great, probably the single easiest way to improve the trigger on your 10/22. Make sure you clean up the stock disconnector, sear and hammer strut. The hammer strut, being a stamped part, especially needs attention around the rounded pivot end.

Works as described. I had previously tuned my stock trigger to 5 lbs as measured with my Lyman electronic trigger gauge. Installed the drop in hammer and Volquartsen hammer. Trigger pull is now 2 lb 1 oz. Very smooth, very little creep and very minimal over travel after adjusting the set screw on the trigger.

This is a great improvement over the factory hammer. Not exactly a breaking icicle, but light and fairly crisp. My reason for writing is to point out the bushing set SKU# 780-010-029 mentioned in another post IS NOT NEEDED. The photo on this page is not up to date. All necessary parts are in the package.

Easy to install and reduced my trigger pull from 6.5lbs to 2.25lbs. Took about 10 minutes to get it all in once the rifle was broke down. Parts dropped right in and the instructions were good. If you only do one thing to your 10/22; install this part.

GET IT. I installed it in 10 min including removing the stock. I did not install the springs, only the hammer and shims. I test my trigger pull with my trigger pull gauge before and had 6 to 6.5 pounds. After installing the volquartsen hammer and shims my trigger is down to 2.25 to 2.5 pounds. Thats huge!!!!!

Went in very easy. Made the trigger pull nice and smooth. As long as you are familiar with the 10/22 trigger assembly, you should be able to swap this out in no time.

Install is simple, and this hammer makes a world of difference from the stock 10/22 hammer. Trigger is crisp and much lighter. Can't go wrong for [$]

I would highly recommend this product. It really lives up the description. Reduced trigger pull, more crisp, etc. I have an older 10/22 and this was just what the doctor ordered.

Was not difficult to install. A little browsing on the interweb produced some photo-instructions that were helpful.

Great product - reduces the trigger to around 2 lbs. If your rifle was made after 2007, you will need to buy the original factory bushings - SKU# 780-010-029. Ruger changed the hammer later, and the bushings were no longer used. I learned this the hard way. If you hammer does not look like the one in the picture, you will need these.

I converted a standard 10/22 into a heavy barrelled hunting gun. The target hammer alone gives you a MUCH better trigger than the factory with out being too light for hunting with. It couldn't be much easier to install either, a true drop in part.
