This parts kit is not worth it. The trigger guard is is loose and has finish defects, the sides of the hammer and trigger needed to be grinded down in order to fit into my Aero Precision lower without binding. The selector is oversized to the point where it fit without alteration, but is VERY tight, tough to move while installed, and will probably cause unnecesary wear while breaking in. I purchased this kit because the DPMS was on backorder and I was impatient. If you know what you are doing, this kit can work, but mine was not drop in. Very low quality parts kit.

This kit, although good quality, was missing the trigger guard roll pin and the bolt catch roll pin. It came with an extra takedown pin detent and spring. Doublestar needs to work on their quality control as I have read several reviews of this kit and many people have reported missing pieces. Make sure to take inventory when you receive this parts kit.

Kit is fine but for a few problems. The first is that the roll pins that are included are not "roll" pins but "rolled" pins. This type of pin is an inferior product that tends to easily have its center punched through, thus ruining the pin. The second issue I had, was that the included "rear takedown pin" was an unfinished product that did not have the final machining or refinishing performed on it. This is probably a fluke, but it forced me to go out and procure a replacement that should have been unecessary. This is a decent Low Cost kit, but DoubleStar can do better than this.

I was a bit anxious going into my first ever lower build. But thankfully this LPK installed into my Spikes lower like they were meant to go together. The parts are nice and oiled in the baggie which I am sure aided in installation.

Also want to say that I really like the trigger. It is nice and crisp and has a very short take up. But we'll see how it really does when I get the upper together and some rounds down range.

The Kit was easy to install and the trigger is a pleasant surprise. My friend who has a timney trigger even raised his eye brows on the trigger pull. His trigger was still crisper but for a stock trigger this one is the way to go. My only complaint with the kit was it was missing the hammer/trigger pin. There are suppose to be two and only one was in the package. I didn't want to wait in the mail for one so I just picked on up at a local gunsmith. But I still feel this kit deserves all 5 stars.

Most of the parts went together almost too easily but the take-down pins are a bit tight in my lower.

The trigger is amazing, total travel is about 3mm and there is very little if not zero over-travel. There is some creep but with the little distance the trigger moves it is not very noticeable at all. For a combat rifle the trigger would be perfect, for a bench rifle I think it would be pretty good... depending on how ridiculously picky you are.

Overall it is very good now I need to see if it will withstand the test of time.

I ordered the Doublestar LPK to go into my Stag Arms stripped lower, and the fit and finish of the parts is excellent, and went in with ease. Everything runs nice and tight, and the trigger has just a little bit of creep, which I like. I was also motivated to support local business by buying Doublestar.

Overall I would definitely recommend this kit for anything needing a good solid parts kit for a great price.

Certainly not a Geiselle Trigger Group, but I would easily recommend this kit. Doublestar even included an extra pin detent, because we all know how putting those things in can go.

This is my first AR build and was reccomended by a local shop to try this new parts kit from DoubleStar that he had seen on Brownells. Promptly ordered, shipping was fast and parts kit included an extra detent and detent spring for the takedown pins. The trigger is smooth with very little to no play and everything fit perfectly except for the rear takedown pin. It was slightly large diameter such that it would not go into the hole at all AND it was not machined with the detent groove. Seemed kind of odd so I took it to a gunsmith who checked measurements of my Stag lower reciever (perfectly within specs) and the pin and indeed the pin was a few thousandths oversized not to mention the missing detent groove. I needless to say had to purchase a separate rear takedown pin to complete my build. I suppose it could have been a mistake on Double Star to place the wrong part in the bag, but overall, I'm quite pleased with the kit.

I have now built 8 ARs and used 3 different brands of lower receiver parts kits and let me tell you, after using this Double Star this will be the ONLY LPK I use ( unless it is a two stage or something like that ). This is the absolutely best I have used between DPMS, Rock River and one from another Co., I was so pleasently surprized with the quality of parts and the smooth, smooth action after installing the LPK.. you can't go wrong with this kit.

I got this parts kit and everything was great! Tolerances were tight, almost too tight. It took a hammer and alot of force to get the selector into the hole. Other than that, everything is great. I would rate this better than the DPMS part kits I have used.

Everything you need at a great price. I build several AR/M4 units a year for LEO customers and this kit is tops. I have used other LPK's (which are also good) but the Double Star is top shelf. I used to use DPMS but after a couple of bum kits I tried DS and never looked back.

The stock trigger is actually pretty good - it is crisp with little creep. I would say the LPK is a a couple of notches above DPMS's LPK in overall fit and finish.

The Double Star LPK assembles easily and I have yet to hear of any failure beyond normal. The units I build get more annual use in professional training than most units see in a decade of casual/recreational range/field use.

I like the Double Star so much I always have a couple on hand in case I need to build a unit on extremely short notice (read - same day) which has happened.

I have built several AR-15s this year. The only reason I ordered the Doublestart AR-15 Lower Parts Kit was that DPMS was on back order and boy was I pleasently surprised. These are exceptional quality and a great great trigger right out of the box so to speak. I will use these again. I just ordered two more to squirrel back. I never endorse products but was just so impressed I wanted others to get in on it.
